A SMALL PLACE TO START
Use your own history as a reference
Name a task and its type, then guess the minutes before you start. Pause for interruptions and finish when the task is done. Use the same type name for repeated tasks, such as emails. The running ratio is total recorded time divided by total estimated time for that type.
What this is based on
This is a timing and arithmetic utility, not an assessment of time blindness or any condition. A ratio of 1.6× means your recorded tasks took 1.6 times the minutes you estimated in total. One run is only one observation. Different task sizes, pauses and stopping rules affect the result; no accuracy gain is promised.
A few useful answers
What happens during interruptions or if I close the tab?
Pause stops adding time until you resume. A running timer keeps counting clock time across a reload or closed tab, so pause before leaving if you want to exclude that time. Timers depend on the device clock and browser; changes to the system clock can affect them.
How is my running ratio calculated?
For each task type, divide the sum of actual minutes by the sum of guessed minutes. Type names ignore letter case and surrounding spaces. A ratio above 1 means recorded tasks took longer in total; below 1 means less time. Paused interruptions are excluded. This is your own task history, not a population comparison.
