A small space to make progress

A big task. A small way in.

Make it yours
Make the next action concrete enough to see yourself doing it. Link it to a moment and place. The optional two-minute timer is just a convenient starting interval; you can stop, continue or change your plan.
Sources & scope
Gollwitzer (1999) describes implementation intentions: plans linking a specific situation to an action. Research supports this kind of planning for following through on goals. It does not guarantee completion, and the two-minute timer is a convenience rather than a tested treatment.

A few useful answers
What makes a useful next step?
Choose an action you can start directly: open the document and write a heading, for example. If the step still feels too big, make it smaller or identify the information you need first.
Do I need to finish in two minutes?
No. The timer is optional. When it ends, you can stop, continue or revise the next step. There is no score and no streak to protect.
Where is my task list saved?
Your prompts and short list stay in this browser. Export JSON for a backup or import it on another device. Clear saved work to remove this tool’s saved prompts and tasks.
