Memory palace
Give a list a familiar place to live. Walk your route, one memorable stop at a time.
Free, always. No account needed.

Opening your local material…
A small tool. A useful practice.
Choose a place you know well and a fixed order of distinct stops. At each stop, attach a fact to a vivid imagined scene. Walk the same route in recall mode before revealing each fact.
Sources & limits
Dresler and colleagues studied six weeks of mnemonic training using the method of loci and found improvements in trained list-memory tasks. This is evidence for learning lists with a trained strategy, not for higher IQ or better memory in general.

Will a memory palace improve my IQ or all kinds of memory?
That is not established by this research. The cited training study measured memory for lists. A route is a strategy for particular material, and it takes practice to use.
Is everything here free?
Yes. Create, practise, import, export and print without an account or payment.
Where is my material saved?
In this browser on this device. It is not uploaded or synced. Export JSON regularly, especially before clearing browser data or changing devices. Anyone using this browser profile may be able to read it.
Can I move my work to another device?
Export a JSON backup, transfer the file yourself, then import it on the other device. Check the preview before replacing that browser’s saved material.
