Flashcards

Give your notes a question side. Try to remember the answer before you turn it over.

Free, always. No account needed.

Opening your local material…

A small tool. A useful practice.

Keep one clear question and one useful answer on each card. Try to produce the answer, reveal it, then mark it honestly. A missed card comes back in the same session. This tool has no scheduling engine.

Sources & limits

In a vocabulary-learning experiment, repeated retrieval improved delayed recall more than repeated study after initial learning. This supports trying to recall an answer; it does not guarantee results for every subject or learner.

A few things to know

Does it schedule my reviews or grade my answers?

No. You mark each answer yourself. Misses return during this session, and decks are saved for you to revisit whenever you choose. Typed attempts are temporary and are not saved.

Is everything here free?

Yes. Create, practise, import, export and print without an account or payment.

Where is my material saved?

In this browser on this device. It is not uploaded or synced. Export JSON regularly, especially before clearing browser data or changing devices. Anyone using this browser profile may be able to read it.

Can I move my work to another device?

Export a JSON backup, transfer the file yourself, then import it on the other device. Check the preview before replacing that browser’s saved material.
