A SMALL PLACE TO START
Capture first. Decide afterwards.
Keep this page beside your work. When a stray thought arrives, write a short line and park it. After the block, review each line: keep it as a note, choose do later and add a concrete next step, or delete it.
What this is based on
Indirect support: Masicampo and Baumeister (2011, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology) found in experiments that making specific plans for unfinished goals could reduce their cognitive interference. They did not test this pad. Simply jotting down a thought is not the same as making a plan, and no focus improvement is promised.
A few useful answers
What should I put here?
Anything you want to remember without following it right now: a question, an errand or an idea. Keep it brief. This is a notepad, not a task-management system or a treatment.
Where can I review the list?
Choose Review thoughts when your focus block is over. Keep leaves an item as a note. Do later marks it for a next step you can write into the line. Delete removes it, with an undo option until the next deletion or reload.
