Key evidence & numbers
| Evidence | Context |
|---|---|
| No universal time cutoff | tests can score completion time, correct responses, errors or an interference measure. Scoring review |
| The interference measure needs a baseline | comparing conflicting items with easier conditions helps separate interference from general response speed. Research review |
| No Helibrain population norm yet | we do not transfer another version's cutoffs to this score. |
What affects it?
Reading skill, the response method, baseline condition and scoring formula affect interpretation. A timed paper task answered aloud and a button-press browser task do not automatically share norms. Scoring review

Test yourself: Stroop. Follow the ink-color instructions and keep the response method consistent when comparing runs.
Common questions
Is a smaller interference score always better?
Read its definition and check errors too. A difference score alone cannot describe the whole performance.
Can I compare my result with a paper-test chart?
Only if there is evidence that the task, scoring and reference population are comparable.
Is this an intelligence score?
We do not interpret this task result as a measure of overall intelligence.
