Reaction & speed

What is a good reaction time?

There is no universal cutoff for a good reaction time. A calibrated study found an average simple visual reaction time of 231 ms, or 213 ms after correcting for hardware delay, but these are reference results rather than a ranking for your browser score. Study

Common questions

Does a lower time mean a faster response?

Yes, within the same task and scoring rules. Comparisons across equipment need more care.

Can I use the corrected study value as a target?

Treat it as context. Your browser result has not received that laboratory's hardware correction.

Does this measure all my thinking speed?

We do not convert this task result into an intelligence score.
